Thermal packaging innovation has recognised pharma supply chain benefits that positively impact the environment
Topa Thermal has won the BSMA 2023 Sustainability Award for our innovation in creating the world’s first rigid cover thermal packaging solution for shipping pharmaceuticals!
Our Connex OVERWRAP thermal pallet shipper made from sustainable and reusable materials has the potential to revolutionise the life sciences supply chain – offering the same benefits of a bulk thermal pallet shipper to protect temperature sensitive medicines and vaccines, but with much lower environmental impact.
Since we introduced the light-weight, high-capacity Connex OVERWRAP thermal pallet shipper last year, several thousand successful temperature-critical biopharma shipments have been made globally. Customers from the life sciences supply chain found that they have cut CO2 emissions by over 30% by swapping to Connex OVERWRAP to ship products. They also saved 40% on freight costs.
The BSMA (Bio Supply Management Alliance Europe) fosters life science supply chain innovation to ensure a seamless and efficient bio-pharma supply chain and timely access to life-saving medications. The BSMA Awards celebrate innovating companies in four distinct categories, industry, supplier, clinical supplies and sustainability.
Speaking at the BSMA Awards ceremony in Brussels on 20th October 2023, Maarten Kleverlaan, technical solution manager of Topa Thermal said: “This year has been incredibly successful for Topa Thermal.
